This is probably one of the hardest things I've had to write. I've been staring at a blank box for five minutes, not knowing how to start. I've also cried several times today about this, but it's time.
Betty & Leroy is closing its doors
Typing that feels surreal. I've been running this store since 2018, planning it since mid 2017, and it's been such a huge part of my life that to walk away is massive.
The last three and a half years have been amazing. I still get a jolt of joy and text my mum every time I have a sale, and growing a base of committed customers who love something I love, has been so great. It's been full of ups and downs too - trying to run a small business during a pandemic, some ongoing health issues I've had, and rejigging my plans to fit where things have been moving has all made things interesting.
Thank you SO much to each and every one of you who has supported my store over this time. Every sale, every share, every like has meant so much. It wouldn't have been the same without you.
The plan for closing
This weekend I was planning on reopening with a big sale, however, with this announcement the timing of this will shift a little. I'll now be reopening the store on Thursday 24 February, with a closing down sale starting at 6pm. This will continue until either all stock is sold, or the 31st of March. I am still planning on making jewellery, and when I am ready I'll move this to another platform.
