Today the government announced we (well, everyone South of Auckland) will be dropping down to Alert Level 3 on Wednesday. This is very exciting news - while we still need to stay at home, I'll finally be able to start shipping orders!
NZ Post contacted business customers this afternoon, giving us a heads up that their couriers are going to be very busy next week. There are many businesses opening up again (for non contact shopping) at level 3, and most have backlogs to process.
While I'll be sending everything out as soon as we are back at level three, there are some things to note:
- Orders will be shipped on a priority basis. If you placed an order sometime over the last week and a half, you will receive your shipping confirmation and tracking information while we are still at level 4. This does not mean your order has been shipped, but it means it has been packed and ready for pick up as soon as we hit level 3.
- I'll be packing orders as quickly as I can, but it does not mean that they will be picked up as quickly as usual. NZ Post have guaranteed that there will be delays, so your patience waiting for items to be picked up is VERY much appreciated!
- NZ Post are bringing on extra staff to help with the increase in parcels being shipped. There will still be some delays, but they will be delivering as soon as they can. I recommend keeping an eye on their delivery updates page as they will be updating that regularly with any delays.
Some more good news: this Sunday evening, I'll be putting up a one-off $5-$20 sale. These are items that are usually on our special rack we only have at markets. Some of the items you may have seen before, but many items haven't been online before, and will only be up for a limited time. Over 100 items will be going up, so join our Facebook event so you don't forget to check it out.
If you are waiting for an order to be shipped and place a second order when the sale is up, I'll send the orders in one parcel and will refund any shipping paid on the second order. This is only for people who have placed orders since we've been at level 4 and they haven't been shipped yet.
